Kingsoft Office WPS Lingxi Integrates With Zhipu GLM-5

Zhipu announced today that with the official release of GLM-5, Kingsoft Office WPS Lingxi has become one of the first core products to deeply integrate with this model.

According to reports, in the past, when AI processed sales reports or financial data, it could only deliver an isolated number, and users had to spend time manually reviewing it because they could not trace the calculation logic.

WPS Lingxi changes this situation. Instead of delivering untraceable “black box numbers,” it fully visualizes the reasoning process, directly outputs native table formulas such as SUMIFS and XLOOKUP, and maintains dynamic interaction.

Traditional AI PPT tools mostly remain at the “content filling” stage, making it difficult to handle minor engineering issues such as text overflow or layout adjustments.

Leveraging WPS’s years of engineering-level understanding of the underlying structure of .pptx files and typesetting engines, and utilizing VLM’s content awareness capabilities, WPS Lingxi can understand information hierarchy, layout rhythm, and chart matching relationships like a designer.

When text changes, the layout automatically expands; when logic is adjusted, charts automatically switch. The entire process is rendered in real-time through the right-side Canvas, ensuring accurate implementation.

As previously reported by IT Home, Zhipu GLM-5 was launched on February 12. This model claims to have achieved a leap from code to engineering: evolving from simple Vibe Coding to Agentic Engineering with systemic thinking. It can understand engineering logic more deeply and deal with complex development scenarios.
