According to Caixin, several Fliggy employees recently revealed that Fliggy initiated a wave of layoffs in June, affecting multiple positions including development, testing, and product, with varying proportions across departments. Those who left on the same day received N+1 severance pay .
According to a report by Tech free press, a laid-off employee of Fliggy stated that the layoff rate varied across different positions within the transportation business, including testing, development, and product, but the overall average layoff rate for the business was over 30%.
A current employee of Fliggy stated that in the CTO line newly launched by Fliggy in December 2025, the R&D team’s layoff rate was as high as 40%-50%; however, the overall layoff rate for the CTO line was around 25%.
Another programmer working at Fliggy said that in his group of 9, 4 people were laid off. He added that, based on the number of employees on DingTalk, the number of people in the CTO line before the layoffs was 1,244, and after the layoffs it was 916, a layoff rate of about 26%. The main positions cut were front-end and back-end development and testing. However, on July 9, the number of employees in this business line slightly increased to 929.
In response, Fliggy stated that the previous rumors circulating on social media about “massive layoffs” and “the complete elimination of the entire department” were untrue . They claimed that recent staff turnover was normal, with a change rate of less than 10%, and that the number of employees currently being recruited was roughly equal to the number of departures.
