Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike gaming mouse users reported being banned in Apex Legends for using the mouse, suspecting a problem with EA’s anti-cheat engine.
Sharing a screenshot of an Apex Legends ban report on X on Friday, Iaroslav Mamalat claimed that the game used “game enhancement” tools. Several Apex Legends users reported the same issue in the comments section, as did other mouse users.

In an email to players, EA wrote: “We have observed ‘game enhancements.’ This means the use of unauthorized methods to enhance in-game performance, such as removing game restrictions or improving game capabilities (e.g., weapon, movement, or item enhancements).”
Some players on forums have suggested that the ban might be related to the Haptic Inductive Trigger System used in the Logitech G Pro X2 Superstrike. This system has characteristics similar to a “Rapid Trigger,” which may cause abnormal click triggering frequency, leading anti-cheat systems to mistakenly identify it as a macro or script.
Generally, EA will not ban players in Apex Legends for using keyboards with Rapid Trigger, but it is not uncommon for developers to restrict or ban input features such as SOCD in competitive FPS games.
Some players speculate that EA’s anti-cheat system might identify macro operations by input timing, and Superstrike’s rapid triggering feature could cause click frequency to exceed a certain threshold, thus triggering a ban. As of press time, no response from EA or Logitech regarding this issue.
