Developer MAGES announced yesterday that the Steins;Gate series has surpassed 4 million copies sold worldwide, and the remake, Steins;Gate Re:Boot, will be released this August.
It is understood that the sales data released by MAGES. only includes works related to Steins;Gate and does not include other works in the Science Adventure series.
For reference, Steins;Gate Re:Boot will be based on the original game’s story framework, adding new dialogue and adjusting the narrative pace, including new world lines and ending routes, and the amount of text has also increased. Character illustrations and backgrounds have all been redrawn, the number of event CGs has doubled compared to the original Xbox 360 version, and art assets have increased by 20%.
