GAC International announced on May 2 that, continuing the strong momentum of 86% year-on-year growth in international sales in the first quarter, GAC’s internationalization journey is accelerating further. From January to April this year, GAC’s cumulative exports reached 70,474 units, a year-on-year increase of 133.9%.
Tech Free Press noted that at the 139th Canton Fair in mid-April, GAC showcased three main models: the AION i60 , the Trumpchi S7, and the Trumpchi M8. By the end of the first phase, over 900 intended orders had been secured, with estimated export earnings exceeding US$10 million (approximately RMB 68.455 million at the current exchange rate). Customers cover multiple markets including Africa, South America, Europe, and the Middle East.
On April 24th, at the 2026 Beijing Auto Show, GAC Group held a special global launch event, clearly stating its goal of entering 120 countries and regions worldwide by 2030, establishing over 2,000 overseas outlets, and achieving annual sales of 1 million vehicles. Chen Jiacai, Chairman of GAC International, revealed that the overseas sales target for 2026 is set at 250,000 to 300,000 vehicles.
Currently, GAC’s international business covers 102 countries and regions across five continents, and has established over 680 sales and service outlets, 5 overseas production bases, and 9 overseas parts warehouses worldwide.
