OnePlus and Realme Merge, as OPPO Establishes New Sub-brand Business Unit

OPPO has released an announcement regarding the “establishment of a new sub-series business unit“.

According to the announcement, OPPO Senior Vice President (SVP) Sky Li is the head of the newly established sub-series business unit. The marketing and service systems of OnePlus and realme, which are included in this sub-series business unit, were previously managed by Xu Qi, the former vice president and president of marketing and service at realme, who has also been appointed as the head of marketing and service for the sub-series business unit.

In terms of products , a sub-series product center was established , with a domestic product department and an overseas product department under it. Li Jie was in charge and reported to Liu Zuohu. Wang Wei (Derek), the former vice president of realme, was appointed as the deputy general manager of the sub-series product center and reported to Li Jie.

In addition, the original realme R&D team has returned to the group, and the imaging, hardware and other departments have been merged into OPPO, becoming departments under the original OPPO hardware departments.

As previously reported, realme officially announced on March 20th that its after-sales service in mainland China will be gradually integrated into the OPPO service system . Starting April 1, 2026, all realme mobile phones, tablets, computers, and IoT products in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan) will have their after-sales service provided by the OPPO service network.
