Chery Group announced today that it sold 248,000 vehicles (247,823 units) in May 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 20.5%, and setting a new record for China’s automobile exports for the third consecutive month.
Tech Free Press noted that Chery Automobile sold 231,944 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 20.7%. The group’s new energy vehicle sales reached 100,304 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 58.8%; the group’s exports reached 181,871 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 80.5%.
In addition, the Group’s cumulative sales volume from January to May this year exceeded 1.1 million vehicles, setting a new record for the same period. Currently, it has more than 19.62 million users worldwide, including more than 6.59 million overseas users.
