Huawei to Invest Up to 80 Billion Yuan in AI Computing Over the Next Five Years

The 2026 Huawei Qiankun Media Day opened in Shenzhen. Jin Yuzhi, CEO of Huawei Intelligent Automotive Solutions BU, revealed that from 2023 to 2026, the computing power of Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving will increase more than 20 times .

Jin Yuzhi believes that computing power is crucial for successful autonomous driving. He stated that Huawei Qiankun will continue to invest 70 to 80 billion yuan in computing power research and development over the next five years .

Furthermore, it took 44 months for Huawei’s Qiankun Intelligent Driving system to reach its first million deployments, but the second million is expected to take only 12 months. The HarmonyOS cockpit took approximately 42 months to reach its first million deployments, while the second million is projected to take 15 months.

Tech free press noted that Jin Yuzhi also discussed the issue of Huawei Qiankun Intelligent Driving’s accumulated assisted driving mileage continuing to scroll even after a network outage. He explained that to avoid data lag caused by internet transmission latency and network performance degradation, the data is displayed smoothly on relevant pages, ensuring that the data does not immediately stop when the network is interrupted .
